It’s been a stressful year to say the least. A lot of people have experienced the loss of loved ones, loss of employment, small businesses have had to close doors, seniors didn’t get to walk across the stage, and a lot of couples have had to cancel or reschedule their wedding plans.

I had to reschedule a lot of photoshoots during the shut down, but I’m one of the lucky ones who lives in a two income household. My husband owns a small business as well and it was scary for a couple of months as his competitors were basically giving their products/services away. My mom was furlough for a few months and her hours were reduced quite a bit when she returned to work.

Obviously as wedding venues and vendors have been affected, a lot of couples have lost their deposits when rescheduling or cancelling their wedding, which makes a difficult situation even worse. I’ve tried to be flexible with all of my brides and grooms so no one has lost their deposit. My goal as a wedding photographer is to reduce the stress of my couples and make the experience as enjoyable as possible.
